In 1919 the master electrician Rudolf Fritz from Mühlheim founded a company specialising in the installation of electrical, gas and water systems and was given authorisation by the mayor of Rüsselsheim to carry out electrical installations independently. This marked the start of the company’s progressive development, which continued with the advance of industrialisation.
Rudolf Fritz had a workforce of 120 as far back as 1936, making his company one of the leading medium-sized companies in the Rhein-Main area.
The Second World War dealt the founder and his family a severe blow with the total destruction of the company and the death of his only son. But despite these personal and economic setbacks the company was reformed in 1946.

In 1952 the company acquired an industrial site in the Hans-Sachs-Straße, the location of today’s company headquarters. Though the company initially had great difficulty finding its feet, the company had built up a workforce of around 40 employees by 1958.
1958 was also the year that graduate engineer, Heinz Sauer, now the managing partner, joined the firm. He has played a crucial role since then in shaping the development of the company.
With his entrepreneurial spirit and receptiveness to new developments, he has been the driving force behind the company’s development right from the start. It is his dynamism, and the enthusiasm and commitment of the workforce, that have made the company what it is today.
